- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups of diced apples
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Wash, peel, core, and dice the apples into small, bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
- Create a well in the center, add milk and egg, and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples until evenly coated with batter.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with glaze.
