Ingredients

- 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, thyme, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish.
- Pour half of the balsamic mixture over the potatoes.
- Add half of the cheese on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, balsamic mixture, and cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

- Use a mandoline for uniform potato slices.
- Let the torte sit for better slicing.
- Pair with a salad for a complete meal.
