Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas with brown sugar and melted butter.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in walnuts if using.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before slicing.
