Description

A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu using bananas.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Add mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla to the whipped cream. Mix until combined.
  4. Gently fold in the mashed bananas.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger in the cooled coffee for a few seconds.
  6. Layer half of the ladyfingers in a dish.
  7. Spread half of the banana mixture over the ladyfingers.
  8. Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers.
  9. Top with the remaining banana mixture.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
