Description
A hearty beef and Stilton pie that’s perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients

- 500g beef, diced
- 200g Stilton cheese, crumbled
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 500ml beef stock
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a pot, brown the beef over medium heat.
- Add onion, carrots, and garlic; cook until soft.
- Pour in the beef stock and Worcestershire sauce.
- Stir in thyme and simmer for 1 hour.
- Remove from heat and mix in Stilton cheese.
- Transfer filling to a pie dish.
- Cover with puff pastry and seal the edges.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Let the pie cool slightly before serving.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a green salad.
