Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic over medium heat.
- Drain excess fat.
- Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add elbow macaroni.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until pasta is tender.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- If desired, stir in shredded cheese until melted.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey as a substitute for beef.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
- This dish can be made ahead and reheated.
