- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 cup whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add sugar and vanilla, mix until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in sour cream and flour until just combined.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until set.
- Let it cool, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
- Top with cherry pie filling and whipped cream before serving.
Notes
- Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
- Chill the cheesecake overnight for improved flavor.
- Feel free to add chocolate shavings on top for garnish.
