  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, vanilla, and food coloring.
  5. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until smooth.
  6. Divide the batter between the prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  9. To make frosting, beat butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar and milk.
  10. Fold in crushed Oreo cookies.
  11. Frost the cooled cakes with Oreo frosting.
