Ingredients

- 1 lb carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Place carrots in a saucepan.
- Add brown sugar, butter, water, salt, and pepper.
- Cook over medium heat until the carrots are tender.
- Stir occasionally to coat the carrots.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh carrots for best results.
- Adjust brown sugar to taste.
- Can add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
