Cajun boiled eggs served in a spicy garlic broth.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Add Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Carefully add eggs to boiling water.
  4. Boil eggs for 10 minutes for hard-boiled.
  5. Remove eggs and place in ice water to cool.
  6. In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  7. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant.
  8. Add broth to the pan and bring to a simmer.
  9. Peel cooled eggs and place in the broth.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Let eggs marinate in the broth for added flavor.
