Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs, coffee, and vanilla. Mix well.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  10. Once cooled, drizzle caramel sauce over the top of each layer before stacking.
