Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add cheddar cheese and herbs to the flour mixture.
  4. Pour in buttermilk and stir until just combined.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Shape into a round loaf and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Cut a cross on top of the loaf.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before slicing.
