Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
- Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer.
- Use a knife to swirl the layers together.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set. Let cool before cutting.
Notes
- Store in the refrigerator for up to five days.
- These brownies can be frozen for up to three months.
