Description

A hearty and comforting casserole featuring layers of cheesy goodness, hamburger meat, and tender potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
  5. Add half of the cooked beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
  6. Pour half of the soup mixture over the beef.
  7. Sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
