Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Add half of the cooked beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
- Pour half of the soup mixture over the beef.
- Sprinkle with half of the cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Great for leftovers and reheats well.
- You can add vegetables like peas or corn for extra nutrition.
