Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 45 tablespoons cold water
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in cold water until dough forms.
  5. Roll out half of the dough and place in a baking dish.
  6. In another bowl, combine apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
  7. Spread the apple mixture over the dough in the baking dish.
  8. Roll out the remaining dough and place over the apple filling.
  9. Seal the edges and cut slits on top for ventilation.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
