Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in boiling water until well combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes in the pans, then transfer to wire racks.
  9. For frosting, beat peanut butter and butter until creamy.
  10. Add powdered sugar and milk. Mix until smooth.
  11. Frost the cooled cakes and stack them.
