A warm and comforting dessert made with cinnamon, pecans, and bread soaked in a creamy custard.
Ingredients

- 4 cups of bread cubes
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of chopped pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes and pecans.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour the mixture over the bread and pecans. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
