Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar.
  6. Fill cupcake liners halfway with batter, sprinkle with cinnamon mixture, then cover with more batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cupcakes cool completely.
  9. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk to create frosting.
  10. Frost cooled cupcakes and serve.
