- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Fill cupcake liners halfway with batter, sprinkle with cinnamon mixture, then cover with more batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cupcakes cool completely.
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk to create frosting.
- Frost cooled cupcakes and serve.
