Ingredients

- 2 cups warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and shape each into a pretzel.
- Boil water in a pot and add baking soda.
- Dip each pretzel in the boiling water for 30 seconds.
- Place pretzels on a baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over pretzels.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
