Instructions

  3. In a bowl, mix dried fruits and nuts.
  4. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  6. Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  7. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  8. Add orange juice and brandy, then fold in the fruit and nut mixture.
  9. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  10. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before serving.
