A rich and creamy green bean casserole with garlic and parmesan.

- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Trim and wash the green beans.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic.
- Add green beans to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine heavy cream, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Mix the creamy mixture with the sautéed green beans.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Top with crispy fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Notes
- Can substitute fresh green beans with frozen.
- Adjust parmesan according to taste.
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Can be prepared a day in advance and baked before serving.
