Description
Crispy sweet potato and red lentil patties are a healthy and flavorful snack. They are easy to make and packed with nutrients.
Ingredients

- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup red lentils, rinsed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup flour (or gluten-free flour)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Boil sweet potatoes until soft, about 15 minutes.
- In a separate pot, cook red lentils in water until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain lentils and mash them in a bowl.
- Add boiled sweet potatoes, onion, garlic, spices, and flour. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry patties until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- Serve with yogurt or chutney.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- You can bake them instead of frying for a healthier option.
