Ingredients

  • 1 cup red lentils, rinsed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil sweet potatoes until soft, about 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate pot, cook red lentils in water until tender, about 10 minutes.
  3. Drain lentils and mash them in a bowl.
  4. Add boiled sweet potatoes, onion, garlic, spices, and flour. Mix well.
  5. Form the mixture into patties.
