Crockpot French Onion Meatballs are savory meatballs cooked in a rich onion and broth sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  3. Place sliced onions in the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Add meatballs on top of the onions.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme.
  6. Pour the broth mixture over the meatballs.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  8. Serve warm, spooning sauce over meatballs.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine to the broth.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
