Description

A hearty and comforting dish made with pierogi, kielbasa, and cheese cooked in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen pierogi (16 oz)
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the frozen pierogi in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add half of the kielbasa and onion on top.
  3. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the layer.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and chicken broth. Pour half over the layers in the crockpot.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onion, and cheese.
  6. Pour the remaining soup mixture on top. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until heated through and bubbly.

Notes

  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a dollop of sour cream on top.
