Ingredients

Instructions

  2. Grease and flour a baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Combine flour and baking powder, then add to the mixture alternately with milk.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. In a saucepan, combine shredded coconut, brown sugar, and butter over medium heat.
  10. Spread the coconut mixture over the cake and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
