Description
A rich and creamy dessert combining the flavors of eggnog with a classic creme brulee.
Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup eggnog
- 5 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and eggnog over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
- Whisk the egg yolks and granulated sugar in a bowl until pale.
- Gradually add the hot cream mixture to the egg yolk mixture, whisking constantly.
- Add the vanilla extract and nutmeg, then mix well.
- Pour the mixture into ramekins.
- Place the ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until set.
- Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, sprinkle brown sugar on top and caramelize with a kitchen torch.
Notes
- Use fresh eggnog for the best flavor.
- Make sure not to overheat the cream mixture.
- Allow the brulees to chill completely for better texture.
