Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked orzo
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyère or Swiss)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter and caramelize the onions until golden brown.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked orzo, chicken, caramelized onions, chicken broth, heavy cream, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
