Description
A delicious gingerbread roll cake filled with cream and spices.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, molasses, and oil.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Spread whipped cream over the cake.
- Roll the cake tightly and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Can substitute molasses with honey if desired.
