Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, molasses, and oil.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Spread whipped cream over the cake.
  9. Roll the cake tightly and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  10. Slice and serve.
