Description
Hamburger steak topped with savory onion gravy.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 cups onions, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp flour
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and sauté until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until thickened.
- Return the patties to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve with onion gravy on top.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
