Description

Delicious homemade chocolate croissants filled with rich chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add butter to the flour mixture and mix until crumbly.
  4. Add yeast mixture and beaten egg. Knead until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips on half of the rectangle.
  8. Fold the dough over the chocolate and seal the edges.
  9. Cut into triangles and roll each triangle into a croissant shape.
  10. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
  11. Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
