Description
Sweet and tangy homemade orange candy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh orange juice
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine orange juice, sugar, and water.
- Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Bring to a boil and add lemon juice and orange zest.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Let cool and cut into squares.
- Allow to dry for several hours before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be dusted with powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
- Use organic oranges for better flavor.
