A delicious twist on traditional lasagna using pizza ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the meat is browned.
  3. Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the ricotta cheese and a third of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Add half of the remaining meat sauce and half of the pepperoni slices.
  8. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles and remaining meat sauce on top.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • Let the pizzagna cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Use your favorite pizza toppings for variation.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
