A hearty and flavorful Irish steak pie filled with tender beef and rich gravy.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds beef chuck, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 package pie crusts
- 1 egg, for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add beef, onion, carrots, and garlic. Cook until beef is browned.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary.
- Simmer for 1 hour until beef is tender.
- Roll out pie crusts and line a pie dish.
- Fill with the beef mixture.
- Cover with another pie crust and seal edges.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Let the pie cool for 10 minutes before serving.
- Can be made a day in advance and reheated.
