Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons mixed Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add olive oil, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
- Incorporate the cheese and herbs into the dough.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes.
- Cool before slicing.
