Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mixed Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture.
  3. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the cheese and herbs into the dough.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  7. Place the loaf in a greased pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Cool before slicing.
