Light and airy cookies made with meringue and flavored with Jello.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Jello powder (any flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar, continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold in Jello powder and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until dry and crisp.
  7. Turn off the oven and let cookies cool inside for an hour.
