Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and cream in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Add butter and salt, continue to cook until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234°F).
- Remove from heat, let sit for a few minutes.
- Add vanilla extract and beat until thick.
- Spoon onto wax paper and let cool completely.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be flavored with other extracts.
