Description
A flavorful Korean spicy chicken stew known as Dakgalbi.
Ingredients

- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
- Add chicken pieces, cook until browned.
- Stir in gochugaru, soy sauce, and salt.
- Add onion, carrots, and potatoes. Mix well.
- Pour in water to cover ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add green onions before serving.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by varying gochugaru.
- Serve with rice for a complete meal.
