Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup strawberry puree
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour three 6-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  5. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla, and mix well.
  6. Divide the batter into three bowls.
  7. Add cocoa powder to the first bowl for chocolate layer.
  8. Add strawberry puree to the second bowl for strawberry layer.
  9. Leave the third bowl as vanilla layer.
  10. Pour each batter into prepared pans.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Let cakes cool before removing from pans.
  13. Layer the cakes with frosting between each layer.

Notes

  • Use a serrated knife to level the cakes.
  • Chill the cake before frosting for easier handling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
