Description

A savory meat pie filled with seasoned meat and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 package of pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with onions until browned.
  3. Add carrots and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in flour, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, peas, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
  6. Place one pie crust in a pie dish.
  7. Fill with meat mixture.
  8. Cover with the second pie crust and seal edges.
  9. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Let the pie cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or salad.
