Description
Meatloaf served with a rich mushroom gravy.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
- Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
- In a skillet, melt butter and add mushrooms.
- Sauté mushrooms until soft.
- Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir.
- Slowly add beef broth, stirring until thickened.
- Serve meatloaf with mushroom gravy on top.
Notes
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or vegetables.
