Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  4. Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
  5. In a skillet, melt butter and add mushrooms.
  6. Sauté mushrooms until soft.
  7. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir.
  8. Slowly add beef broth, stirring until thickened.
  9. Serve meatloaf with mushroom gravy on top.

Notes

  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
