Delicious mini chocolate custard cups that are rich and creamy.
Ingredients

- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
- In a bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks.
- Gradually add the hot milk to the egg yolks while whisking.
- Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook on low heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the custard into small cups and refrigerate until set.
Notes
- Serve chilled for best texture.
- Top with whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.
