Mini Irish Beef Pies with Buttery Pastry Crust are small savory pies filled with tender beef and vegetables, wrapped in a flaky pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Add onion, carrots, and garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
  6. Roll out puff pastry and cut into circles.
  7. Place a spoonful of beef mixture on each circle.
  8. Fold pastry over and seal edges with a fork.
  9. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
