- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Divide batter into three bowls. Mix strawberry puree into one, leave one plain, and add cocoa to the third.
- Scoop batter into cupcake liners, layering the flavors.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes. Check with a toothpick.
- Let cool before frosting.
