Description

A classic Neapolitan Pound Cake combines rich flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry in one delicious loaf.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  3. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Divide the batter into three bowls.
  8. Mix cocoa powder into one bowl, vanilla extract into another, and strawberry puree into the last.
  9. Pour the batters into the loaf pan, alternating colors.
  10. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before removing from the pan.
