- 2 cups pecan halves

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to boil.
- Add pecans and salt, stirring continuously.
- Cook until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
- Pour mixture onto a greased baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
