- 1 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter and brown sugar together.
- Add pecans to the mixture and stir until coated.
- Pour the mixture into a greased cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the granulated sugar and eggs until fluffy.
- Add vanilla and milk to the egg mixture.
- Combine dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
- Pour the batter over the pecan mixture in the pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- You can add a scoop of ice cream for extra flavor.
