Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter and brown sugar together.
  3. Add pecans to the mixture and stir until coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased cake pan.
  5. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. In another bowl, cream the granulated sugar and eggs until fluffy.
  7. Add vanilla and milk to the egg mixture.
  8. Combine dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  9. Pour the batter over the pecan mixture in the pan.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
