Description

Sweet and spicy pineapple slices.


Ingredients

  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pineapple by peeling and slicing it.
  2. In a pot, combine sugar, vinegar, red pepper flakes, cinnamon, and ginger.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Add the pineapple slices to the pot and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool.
  7. Transfer to jars and refrigerate.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by changing red pepper flakes.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to a month.
