Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a round cake pan.
  3. Arrange pineapple slices at the bottom of the pan.
  4. Melt butter and mix with brown sugar, pour over pineapple.
  5. In a bowl, cream together granulated sugar and butter.
  6. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  7. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture.
  8. Pour batter over pineapple.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
