Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Peel and chop sweet potatoes, then boil until tender.
  6. Drain sweet potatoes and mash with milk and butter.
  7. In a saucepan, combine bourbon, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  8. Serve meatballs over sweet potato mash and drizzle with bourbon-maple sauce.
