Description
A crunchy, sweet treat made with nuts and caramel.
Ingredients

- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread nuts on a baking sheet and toast for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and water over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the caramel over the toasted nuts and mix well.
- Spread the mixture back onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Allow to cool before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Change nuts for different flavors.
- Can add chocolate for extra sweetness.
